A Run-On Sentence About Staying Where You AreIn a halo of messy hair
and metal shavings everywhere
my thoughts return to you
and what I would do
if we were less constricted,
if we were less restricted,
by the paths we've chosen
that leave us almost frozen
in warm beds
with full heads,
set in our ways
with energy spent
on getting by,
we are even here
and it becomes clear
that things just are
the way they are
and it doesn't matter that you make me nervous,
that the only time my thoughts find purchase
is when they return to you
and what I would do
if we were less constricted,
if we were less restricted.
Children Of A Lesser God - RevisitedA Chapter Closes :
During the 80's It was a refugee camp for Afghan refugees escaping the Soviet invasion. At that time it lay well outside the boundaries of Islamabad in a large undeveloped sector of land. It was locally known as "Afghan Basti" (Afghan Locality). A few years later, the government amalgamated the Afghan Refugee camps that were spread inside the country to the sections of Khyber Puktoonkhwa, Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Baluchistan that border Afghanistan, making it easier to manage the continual inflow refugees. The sector was returned back to its state of desolation but still retained its common name of “Afghan Basti”.
The soviets were routed, the war ended, and the

Punk Feature!Clearly I'm really bad at focus. Life seems to be such anarchy. And progress has well... got lazy? or been thrown out the window. Few weeks back now I attended Blackpool's Punk Rebellion.. which was fab (a whole week of punks and punk festival stuff here in the town I live in). So dressing to occasion inspired a piece of artwork and then this feature - which I'm so late in actually getting out terrible. Apologies and thank you to the following artists for sharing in the forum and thought I'd add a few extra from other deviants.

Voyage to the Unknown: ScratchboardThis is my second journal using Mrs-Durden's journey theme. I've chosen for this journey to head into Traditional Art, to the Scratchboard sub section of the site. I've seen a few pieces from this section that were simply marvelous, but it's not somewhere I journey regularly. That said, I hope you enjoy the selection!
As always, please give the artists some love!

I have been on DeviantART for one year.I had hoped to post this on the anniversary of my joining dA, but I had not uploaded all the Scraps that I wanted to because I have recently bought a new computer and changing the files and uploading software to it has taken some time, so I am 5 days late.
Firstly I must extend my most sincere thanks to all the kind people that have visited my profile page, viewed my drawings, left comments, given favourites and watches over the last year. When I joined dA a year ago I had no idea that anyone would want to look at my drawings.
I have received a number of comments from young members along the lines of 'I wish I could draw like you!' and I thought that if I chronicled my progression it might provide encouragement for these young artists as I started from a very low level and have had no tuition for any improvements that I have made. I have no doubt that anyone, with a certain amount of practice, could achieve similar results.
Firstly I must make it quite c
